Position Summary

SolidCAD is Canada’s leading Platinum reseller for Autodesk. As result of our on-going growth, we are seeking to hire an experienced Technical Lead / Solution Architect who will oversee the development and fulfilment of professional services to meet the demands of our manufacturing clients across Canada. The candidate will work alongside our sales team to provide pre-sale business process assessments (BPA’s), discoveries, proof of concepts and technology demonstrations. Post-sale, the candidate will deliver fundamental to expert level software training, implementation, project-specific mentoring and support services and will assist clients in defining unique workflows, customizations and standards.

In this role, you will...

• Proactively work with the MFG team including account managers, other technical specialists, and project managers. Together, develop high-value service offerings that align with customer needs and that leverage the capabilities of the Autodesk manufacturing solutions we sell.
• Perform assessments, discovery calls and scoping exercises with clients and prospects. Develop formal responses including proposals, recommendations, statements of work, project plans and business cases for clients who are considering an investment in Autodesk Inventor and Vault with an emphasis on Inventor and Vault.
• Work with our team and Project Managers to understand project requirements and to coordinate service engagements with clients. Develop best practices related to the implementation and training of solutions within the Autodesk manufacturing portfolio.
• Deliver fundamental to expert level software training, implementation, project-specific mentoring and support services and will assist clients in defining unique workflows, customizations and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of training materials, technical brochures, guidelines, and best practices needed to support our delivery of services to clients.
• Provide technical support services and subject-matter expertise for clients who require support and recommendations to enhance their use of Inventor and Vault.
• Assist marketing in the creation of project success stories, packaged service offerings and content for the website and social media channels. Participate in marketing events.

About you...

• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault Professional
• Working experience in a manufacturing / engineering environment utilizing Autodesk software
• Familiarity with an ERP system as well as an EDM, PDM, PLM or document management solution and its application in a manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
• Familiar with engineering concepts, design lifecycles, version and revision concepts as well as mechanical drafting and design techniques.
• Ability to create and present proof-of-concepts as well as perform product demonstrations.
• Experience in delivering professional-level teaching or mentoring related to the use of design technology.
• Understand the fundamentals of deploying software, licensing and configuration concepts related to project setup, standards and templates for Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks or other manufacturing design solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and provide timely feedback and guidance to clients.
• Proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Word and Excel required.
• Post-pandemic and in accordance with government guidelines, be willing to travel up to a maximum of 3-5 days per month within the province, and occasionally to other parts of Canada to visit with clients on-site and other team members at SolidCAD offices. Vast majority of services are provided remotely via the internet.
