Position Summary

The Vice President of Operations primary responsibility is to establish, implement and communicate the strategic direction of the organizations operations divisions. This role will have strong systems focus as our Shared Services group leverages technology and expertise to contribute to profitable growth. This role will be a catalyst for continuous improvement.

In this role, you will...

• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
• Collaborate with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
• Ensure ongoing sustainability, security and enhancement of digital systems
• Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organizations business plan and vision.
• Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
• Review and approve cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
• Establish and administer the departments budget.
• Present periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief executive officer and other leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations and IT management.
• Identify training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Functional Area’s of Responsibility:
• IT Department including Enhancements, Projects, Security, Data Governance, Maintenance,
and Help Desk.
• Operations Administration including workflow and process improvement, leveraging technology and ensuring data quality
• Inventory Management and Control including Procurement, Product Data Governance, Warehouse Operations, and Fulfillment
• Renewable Contract Business including automation, product management, data governance and expansion

People Management:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in industry.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Post Secondary Education in Business Admin, I.T., Logistics, Engineering, or other industry-related field;
• At least 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in upper management
