Position Summary

A Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant provides technical guidance and support to the sales team and potential customers during the pre-sales phase. The role involves understanding customer needs to solve a problem or achieve a desired outcome and liaising with management and technical staff. This includes demonstrating and planning solutions to assist in customer decisions and drive adoption.

In this role, you will...

Responsibilities
Technical Knowledge: Develop and maintain an understanding of industry software and solutions, including the latest updates and features. Offer technical expertise and consultation on effectively implementing a plan to address customer needs or goals.
Customer Assessment: Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and challenges. This involves conducting in-depth discussions with potential clients to uncover pain points and business objectives.
Product Demonstrations: Conduct or orchestrate tailored demonstrations/presentations to showcase solutions to address customer requirements.
Solution Design: Work closely with customers to design solutions that meet requirements, including proof-of-concept projects and workflow explanations.
Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about competitors' products and positioning, and be able to communicate the advantages of SolidCAD's solutions effectively.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, management, and technical teams to effectively communicate customer requirements and feedback.
Thought Leadership: Be a strategic thinker who nurtures relationships and social networks by asking good questions of others, establishing credibility and taking actionable steps. An expert who passionately communicates their insights with other influencers to build a valuable network of like-minded leaders. Present at industry events and participate in associations.
Content: Develop a compilation of content to showcase SolidCAD's brand and industry knowledge tied to associated solutions. Assist in creating documentation such as case studies and solution guides.
Training: Provide education workshops to sales teams and partners to enhance their product and service knowledge.

About you...

Past experience in architecture and building engineering services associated with technology usage.
Bilingual: French and English

Robust design software and solutions knowledge and experience in at least one of the tools enumerated below:

• Autodesk (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360)
• SketchUp
• Rhino
• Revizto

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to understand and address customer challenges effectively.
Sales acumen and the ability to work closely with sales teams to drive revenue and win deals.
Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape.
Willingness to travel to meet with potential clients as needed.
